100 Best Books for Children 最棒的百本童書

美國知名童書編輯Anita Silvey的經典作品100 Best Books for Children。藉由博客來的Silvey<<最棒的100本童書>>活動，正好幫 我整理經典童書的書單。以年齡作為主要的分類，從硬頁書、繪本…到高年級以上的適讀書單，書中並附有每本書的內容與背景介紹。
從經典童書讀起，很適合「丟掉字典學英語」中SSS(Start with simple stories)的學習法。雖然「丟」裡面的翻譯在「朗文出版社(Longman)」竟然很不專業地索性翻成「長人出版 社」實在很糟糕，害的我很想退這本書。介紹語言學習的書，竟然連Longman中文名稱都不知道，也不查證。是本書的一大敗筆，其餘書中所介紹的方式，我 是很認同的。就如成寒老師所言，「小一不能讀小六」，不只是在聽力部份，在閱讀部份也是一樣，總不能一開始就看Time時代雜誌，或是較艱深的世界經典名 著「安娜卡列尼娜」之類的。
